Below we have listed some of our top picks for Montessori aligned materials – as well as some miscellaneous items that we thought deserved a mention – such as the self-sticking bathroom shelf organiser corner – great for making a practical life area in the bathroom, to store toothpaste, a toothbrush, a hair brush and hang a small hand towel, for example, all at easy reach for our little ones!
Most links provided are given as Amazon UK links, simply for ease, but please do shop around if you intend to make a purchase, as some of our recommendations can be found cheaper elsewhere. Some of the activities can even be easily DIY’ed for significantly less! Check out our

Officially, there is no such thing as a Montessori toy; anything that fits the philosophy can qualify. Passive toys made of natural materials allow your toddler to practice one skill at a time & make for great Montessori-aligned materials. Uncomplicated in construction & purpose, these kinds of toys feel good to hold, don’t provide over-stimulation & tap into your child’s natural inclination to learn.
